Download: THE RETREATANTS
My teaching philosophy is best summed up by this little story: A man in one of the helping professions goes to a wise sage for advice. "I want to do the best I can for those I serve," he says. How can I do this?" The sage replies," My answer is 'Give them what they need.' The man goes off and ponders this, but finds the answer a bit short on specifics. So he returns to the sage. "Master," he says," I was hoping for something more concrete, some method or approach I could use every day." "Oh," replied the sage. "In that case, my answer is 'Give them what they REALLY need."
My interests are, first and foremost, my students and my colleagues. This is the "key" in which my other interests are played. These include literature, philosophy, world religions, Torah, writing and political/social issues.
