Teaching Philosophy / Goals

In agreement with Brookfield, I believe teaching is about "making some kind of dent in the world so that the world is different than it was before you practiced your craft." Therefore, when teaching, I only bring something to the table...if that something is value-added: I try to go beyond the specific course content to enrich students' learning experience; try to leverage student's experience and be empathetic to their diversity and multicultural background; believe passion is key; and try to be audacious and original in delivering the course content. I'm in advanced candidacy for a doctoral in Education at Boston University, have a masters in CIS, and 20+ years of business experience in the sector.

Interests

I am an avid dirt biker, often riding a Husky 510cc through the forests of Mass. But I also enjoy riding sports bikes, and love track-days. Reading is my passion, and neuroscience my hobby. I'm often a volunteer at the Framingham Food Pantry, and serving disadvantaged children.

Courses I Teach
  • PM337 - Project Management: This is a very hands-on course, excellent to sharpen management skills.
  • ECOM237 - Introduction to E-Commerce: This course provides a great overview of ecommerce, both from the strategic business approach to technology integration.
  • MIS328 - Cyber Ethics and Security: This course provides good understanding of internet (and networks) security threats and countermeasures.
  • MIS309 - Management of Information Systems: This is an interesting course to better understand the information systems and technologies driving business processes and promoting competitive advantage.
