A living/learning program for first-year Nichols College students
Learning in the Nichols Community (LiNC) is an interactive living/learning experience designed for the first-year student who wants to be actively engaged with other first-year students and their professors in the classroom and in the residence hall. LiNC is a group of 20 students who take 3 of their 5 classes together in the fall semester and live together in a section of Shamie Residence Hall.
An upper-class Teaching Assistant lives within the LiNC section of Shamie Residence Hall and co-teaches one of the courses, First Year Professional Development Seminar (PDS). There are also a Residence Life staff member and a Resident Assistant (RA) living on the floor to further enhance the living experience.
