Recruitment & Portfolio Coordinator
The Recruitment & Portfolio Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the Nichols recruitment programs, including the annual Career Fair; work with established external employers, and develop new potential employers; serve as a support for student portfolios, including classroom presentations instructing students on portfolio development; researching current portfolio trends; present in Professional Development Seminar (PDS) classes; review student resumes, and cover letters; develop and maintain department website. Maintain on-line recruiting software. Other department projects as assigned. Occasional evening/weekend work required.
The candidate for this position must possess excellent communication skills and the desire to work effectively with employers, students, and faculty daily. The ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines is also necessary. The candidate for this position must also be able to multi-task and work independently. Understanding and appreciation of value of a portfolio is essential, as well as ability to teach students how to develop effective portfolios. Computer, public speaking, and resume writing skills are a necessity. Bachelor’s degree (or ability to obtain within set time agreed upon by candidate and director) required.
